Investigations

Some agencies we work with.

Investigating the many complaints that our patrol officers respond to is another critical operation within the police department.  The Town of Menasha Police Department has an investigation division that consists of two detectives supervised by an investigative lieutenant.

Criminals don’t honor municipal boundary lines; therefore our investigators meet weekly with investigators from adjoining agencies as well as monthly with investigators from throughout Northeastern Wisconsin.

Forensic evidence and crime scene investigation has been quite popular in the media in recent years and the Town of Menasha Police Department has several officers that are specially trained in the location and collection of physical evidence.  These evidence technicians are called to assist in major investigations and in situations that require technical assistance.

The Town of Menasha Police Department also has an investigator assigned to the Lake Winnebago Area MEG Unit.  This is the regional drug investigative unit that covers the counties of Winnebago, Outagamie, Calumet, and Fond du Lac.

Our detectives have also utilized the popular television program America’s Most Wanted in locating people wanted in crimes committed here.
