Administration

The Town of Menasha Police Department is a full service police department employing 26 sworn officers and 7 civilian employees. In addition to those employees, there are four school crossing guards that work during the school year.

A five member Police and Fire Commission is appointed by the town board to oversee the hiring and promotional process as well as certain disciplinary actions.

The head administrator for the police department is the chief of police. Assisting the chief of police is a civilian administration coordinator as well as six lieutenants that are assigned to oversee the administrative functions, the investigative division, and all shifts of the patrol division. In addition to overseeing police department operations, the chief is responsible for maintaining the budget and attending all town board meetings.
