Expired or Unwanted Medication Collection

Please use these medication drop-off locations to properly dispose of expired or unwanted human and pet medications in the form of pills, capsules, ointments, liquids, sprays, drops, creams, inhalers, or any other drug no longer needed for its intended use.  Both prescription and over-the-counter medications will be accepted.

The medication drop boxes are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year:

Town of Menasha Police Department – 2000 Municipal Drive, Neenah
Appleton Police Department – 222 S. Walnut Street, Appleton
Neenah Police Department – 2111 Marathon Avenue, Neenah
Oshkosh Police Department – 420 Jackson Street, Oshkosh

Medication MUST stay in its original container. There is no charge to participate!

Medication strength changes over time and is not typically safe after one year.  Recent studies show measurable amounts of medication have been found in drinking water and wildlife due to flushing or throwing away medications.  You can make a difference to:

Waste Oil Drop-Off Site

The Town of Menasha offers town residents a waste oil drop-off site to properly dispose of used engine oil.  The drop-off site is located on the west side of the municipal complex, just to the left of the parking lot.  Look for the large, white holding tank.

• Clean engine oil only
• Drop-off site is open 24/7
• Drop-off site is monitored by security cameras
• You MUST take your empty containers home with you
