Nuisance Abatement

In an effort to reduce the number of repeat or chronic nuisance calls, we have developed the chronic nuisance program and ordinance. This effort focuses on education and cooperation with our property owners to maintain the high quality of life that we all value. This program was recognized as a finalist for the 2008 Sir Robert Peel award by the Wisconsin Association of Community Oriented Police. For more information on our program and ordinance as well as a copy of The Wisconsin Way, click on the links below.

Prescription Drug Abuse

The Town of Menasha Police Department spearheaded a coalition of law enforcement, pharmacists, citizens, educators and juvenile workers to combat the rise in prescription drug abuse and the crimes associated with this growing trend. As a result, a DVD/CD educational toolkit was developed which has been distributed across Wisconsin. For further information on this effort and this problem, click on the links below.

Virtual Block Watch

In an effort to increase communication with our residents, businesses and visitors, the Town of Menasha Police Department maintains a presence on the ever popular Facebook internet site. Become a fan and stay in tune with the latest happenings, crimes and scams and ways that we can protect ourselves and our property and remain crime-free! We also communicate weekly with our neighborhood watch groups and businesses via an email system. If you live or work in the Town of Menasha and would like to be added to this list, please click the link below to send an email to the community liaison officer.

VINElink

The WI Statewide VINE system is a service through which victims of crime can use the telephone or Internet to search for information regarding the custody status of their offender and to register to receive telephone and e-mail notification when the offender’s custody status changes. The VINE toll-free number for the WI Statewide VINE system is 888-868-4631. This service is provided to assist Victims of Crime who have a right to know about their offender’s custody status.
