Barbara Hanson

Town Chairman

Hanson has served as a supervisor for six years. She is treasurer for the Grand Chute Menasha West Sewerage Commission and chair of the Town of Menasha Individual/Business of the Year Committee.

PROFESSION / VOCATION

Hanson, who retired in 2009, was a speech language pathologist in the School District of Shiocton. She will continue to be involved in the school environment with substitute teaching. Hanson, along with her husband Lyle, will also be busy providing daycare for their grandchildren.

PERSONAL

Hanson is married to Lyle with two adult children and two grandchildren. She is a member of the Fox Valley Technical College Board of Trustees and holds the office of secretary for that organization. Also, Hanson is on her high school reunion committee and helps with other class reunions.  She enjoys camping with friends, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Martha Andrew

Supervisor 1

On April 25, 2016 Martha Andrew was appointed to the position of Supervisor 1 for the Town of Menasha Board.

PROFESSION / VOCATION

Martha began her career as a Paralegal, has worked in Administration at Theda Clark Hospital, and retired 18 years ago from Banta Corporate Headquarters in Menasha.  She has previously served on the Town of Menasha Board of Supervisors and the Winnebago County Board.

PERSONAL

Martha moved to Pages Point in 1986, where her husband Jim’s family has lived since settling there in 1847. They have 2 adult children and 4 grandchildren. Some of Martha’s community involvement over the years has been serving on United Way, Tri Communities Crime Reduction Coalition, League of Women Voters, Neenah-Menasha Red Cross, and the Fox Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Martha enjoys traveling the world, has lived on their boat every summer in Fish Creek, and now winters in Mexico and spends time at their cabin up north.

James Beson

Supervisor 2

Beson was appointed to the Town Board on April 25, 2016 to serve as Supervisor 2.

PROFESSION / VOCATION

Jim is retired from Pierce Manufacturing, having specialized in mechanical and quality control systems.

PERSONAL

Jim was born in the Town of Menasha, spending his entire childhood and adult life as a resident, about two blocks from where he now lives on Lake Winnebago. Besides his duties as Supervisor, Jim volunteers, performing tasks that improve and enhance our park system for the enjoyment of the community. In his free time, he enjoys windsurfing on Lake Winnebago, bicycling, rock climbing and railway historical studies.

Tim Raddatz

Supervisor 3

Appointed on April 25, 2016, Raddatz serves as Supervisor 3 on the Town of Menasha Board.

PROFESSION / VOCATION

Tim’s main profession is technical support technician at J.J. Keller and Associates. He is also a firefighter/first responder for the Town of Menasha Fire Department for the past 11 years.

PERSONAL

Tim and wife Karlyn, a nurse and Director of Public Health for Sheboygan County, and their two sons love the Town of Menasha where they have lived for the past 14 years.  During the summer, all of their free time is spent at their camper in Marion.

Deb Swiertz

Supervisor 4

Deb was appointed on April 25, 2016 to serve as Supervisor 4 on the Town of Menasha Board. Deb served on the Town of Menasha Park Commission from 2006 to 2015, after being appointed to fill a term that became vacant. When that term expired, she sought reappointment and served another seven years until recently stepping down. She also served on the town’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Task Force during 2014 – 2015.

PROFESSION / VOCATION

Currently, Deb is a paraprofessional in the Menasha School District working with 4K children having special needs, and assists students in other grade levels.

PERSONAL

Married 30 years to husband Tim. They have two daughters, both Menasha High School graduates. Deb enjoys spending time with her family and loves gardening. During her term as Park Commissioner, she helped start the town’s Garden Club, which is now the Adopt a Park Flower Bed Program. She enjoys volunteering, whether it is weeding a park flower bed, working with children, or serving her community.
