Getting Involved and Leaving a Legacy

There are many opportunities for individuals, organizations, or businesses to become involved in the Town of Menasha Parks and Recreation Department.

The history of parks and recreation is founded in citizens becoming active, from John Muir and the development of our National Park System, to the 300 plus individuals/organizations who donated time and money toward the development of the Trestle Trail.  Our continued success depends on your involvement!

The best analogy to describe the importance of getting involved is the planting of a tree.  The tree you plant today will not benefit you but will benefit the generations to come!

The Town of Menasha Parks and Recreation Department has established three specific opportunities for you to become involved.

Individual / Corporate Giving
This may take place in many forms, from sponsoring a specific recreation program or special event to donating toward a specific area of park development or redevelopment.  Examples include the generous yearly donations by SCA, McMahon Associates and Evergreen Credit Union to sponsor the Family Entertainment Series, or the in-kind donation by Miron Construction towards the Fritse Park Development Project.  To learn more about specific donation opportunities please click here.

Volunteering
You may have an expertise or just simply a few hours that you would like to share with the community.  Volunteer opportunities range from individually taking on a task, to participating in Town of Menasha organized events, to helping out with an activity developed specifically for your organization.  For more information please click here.

Memorial / Recognition Giving
This is an opportunity to recognize or memorialize someone special while contributing to the beautification of the overall Town of Menasha Parks and Recreation System.  The town has developed a list of suggested ways to recognize/memorialize or we can customize something specific to your needs.  For more information please click here.

Consider planting a tree…whether it’s with a financial contribution, your time, or by planting an actual tree…leave your legacy for the next generation!
