Street Department – Part-time Positions

Part-Time Intermittent Positions

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
  • Typical work days: regular hours – Mon thru Friday, weekends & holidays: 7:00am -3:30pm;
    summer work hours – June, July, August – 9 hr work week schedule. Work hours are flexible and
    can be adjusted per applicant.
  • Hours per week: 20-40 hrs, depending upon applicant’s schedule and weather conditions.
  • Length of employment: year-round or seasonal, depending on applicant.
  • Work duties: Assisting street laborers with brush chipping, road repairs, drainage related issues
    and performing other public works related duties and responsibilities, as assigned. Depending on
    qualifications, operating some heavy trucks & equipment. Performing snow plowing operations in
    the winter months on an as-needed/call-in type basis.
  • The PT position is a non-represented, non-benefitted position, limited to approximately 1,000
    hours annually. Pay rate will be determined according to job qualifications. Starting pay rate:
    $12.00-$15.00/hr without CDL; $14.00-$17.50/hr with CDL; On-call snow plowing with CDL;
    $15.00 – $18.75.
