Vision Obstruction

Vision Obstruction

Town of Menasha Municipal Code Chapter 8.04

The owners of trees upon private property which project over public sidewalks, streets or alleys shall maintain said trees. All trees, hedges, billboards or other obstructions must not prevent persons driving vehicles on public streets, alleys or highways from obtaining a clear view of traffic approaching an intersection or pedestrian crosswalk. All limbs of trees which project over and less than ten (10) feet above any public sidewalk, street or other public place shall be kept trimmed to a reasonable height to allow for safe use and passage.

Town of Menasha street personnel will be trimming back tree/brush material at intersections throughout the town that cause a vision obstruction.  If you observe a tree/brush vision obstruction, please contact the street department at 720-7110 so that we may work with the property owner to correct the situation.
