The utility district is divided into two departments, Water and Wastewater.  These departments are governed by the Town of Menasha Utility Board of Commissioners which are responsible for overseeing the plans, constructs, and maintenance of the water supply and the wastewater collection.  Commission members are appointed pursuant to WI State Statutes 60.74.  Commission meetings are held at the town's Municipal Complex.  These meetings are scheduled for the second and fourth Monday of each month beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Water Department

Water Main Replacement and Construction Program

Information:
The Water Utility has two separate water systems, the East and West sides of Little Lake Butte Des Morts.
The East Side System consists of a well, a treatment plant, a one million gallon reservoir, one 300,000 gallon water tower and a metering station where water is purchased form the City of Menasha.
The West Side System  consist of three wells, two treatment plants, two one million gallon reservoirs, and two 300,000 gallon water towers.
The two systems have over 110 miles of water mains and 1,100 fire hydrants.  The water department pumped over 1.044 billion gallons in the year 2000 to serve its 7100 customers in the town of Menasha, City of Menasha, town of Neenah, City of Neenah, City of Appleton, town of Harrison, and the town of Grand Chute.  The water department consists of 8 full-time employees and one part-time contracted employee.  Service personnel are "on call" 24 hours a day, 7 days a week , and 365 days a year.

Information: The Wastewater Utility is responsible for maintaining over 100 miles of sanitary sewers, nine lift stations, and six miles of forcemains.  The wastewater utility employs three full-time employees and one part-time employee.
