Automated Collection of Garbage and Recyclables INFORMATION CARTS ARE BEING DELIVERED! The garbage and recycling carts are currently being delivered throughout the Town! It is a process that is expected to take 2-3 weeks*. Attached to the inside of your cart will be a brochure with IMPORTANT INFORMATION regarding automated collection of garbage and recyclables. If you are CURRENTLY a TUESDAY pickup and you will be changing to a FRIDAY pickup - you will have garbage and recycling collection on BOTH Tuesday September 29 AND Friday October 2. (You do not have to put out garbage and recyclables on both days, but you can if you would like to). Please refer to Pages 8-9 of the IMPORTANT INFORMATION brochure to determine what your collection day and recycling week will be beginning October 2, 2009. If you have not received your cart(s) by October 1 or you have received the incorrect size cart(s), please contact the Town by email at mycarts@town-menasha.com or leave a voice mail message at 720-7111. * You might not receive your garbage and recycling carts on the same day.

B. Confirm your garbage collection day and your recyclable collection week. Beginning the week of October 2, 2009, garbage/recyclables will be collected using the automated collection system. Your current pickup day might change and you must find out when your garbage and recyclables will be collected. To determine your collection dates, refer to the IMPORTANT INFORMATION brochure which was placed inside your cart. The Garbage/Recyclables Collection Street Guide which will list not only your garbage day but whether you are an “A Week” or “B Week” for recycling. Recyclables will continue to be collected every other week on your garbage day; however, your A/B week might change. The Garbage/Recyclables Collection Street Guide will be published in the next issue of “The Bridge” which will distributed in mid to late September.

You should reference the Policy to become familiar with the process for disposing of garbage and recyclables with the automated collection system.
