Ladder 40 (L40) is a 1996 Pierce Lance.  L40 is a 100 foot aerial platform.  It is used for ventilation and rescue operations as well as deluge type extinguishment using its 2000 gallon per minute pre-piped water way.  Because L40 has no pump or water tank, it must rely on a Pumper (or Engine) to supply water to it.
