How to Run for Public OfficeThe Town Board of Supervisors consists of one Town Chair and four Supervisors who are “at-large”, which means they represent the entire town’s population. Two Supervisors are elected to two-year terms which expire in even years, and two Supervisors are elected to two-year terms expiring in odd years, along with the Town Chairperson. The Municipal Judge is elected for a two-year term, expiring in odd years with the term commencing on May 1. A law degree is not required for the Municipal Judge’s position. Town elections are held the first Tuesday in April. The seat is taken by the newly elected Supervisor on the evening of the Annual Town Meeting, held on the second Tuesday in April. To run for office, Nomination Papers are available at the Town Clerk’s office in the Municipal Complex, 2000 Municipal Drive, Neenah. The Town Clerk and Deputy Clerk will assist you throughout the process.
