Clerk's Office


The Town Clerk’s office is responsible for maintaining all official Town records including agreements, contracts, leases, code of ordinances, resolutions and minutes, and other legal documents.  The Clerk attends Town meetings, attests and signs all official documents, publishes legal notices, and maintains custody of the Town’s seal. Responsibilities also include supervising elections, registering voters, purchasing and maintaining voting equipment, preparation of election notices and other election information. The Town Clerk issues licenses for liquor, cigarettes and tobacco, auctions, Christmas tree sales, solicitors, secondhand dealers, mobile home parks, special events and other miscellaneous permits; accepts requests for public records, and claims against the Town.
