Minutes

 

1.    CALL TO ORDER, PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

       President Tews called the Meeting of Utility District Commissioners to order at 5:00 p.m.

3.    PUBLIC FORUM – NON-AGENDIZED TOWN RELATED MATTERS- None

                         Limited to Ten Minutes – Non-Repetitive Matters

         Pursuant to WI State Statutes 19.83(2) and 19.84(2), the public may present matters; however then cannot

         be discussed or acted upon until specific notice of the subject matter of the proposed action can be given.

 

4.       DISCUSSION ITEMS

       a)    Springhetti Service Availability Charge (SAC) Fees

       Admin. Archambo did not recommend reducing the SAC fees for the Springhetti property due to unfairness to other property owners who were expected to pay their portion of SAC fees and showing favor of this one requestor thus not keeping the policy consistent. 

       Atty. Curtis also recommended a consistent policy whereas all property owners are charged the same SAC fees according to policy as possible legal issues could arise.

6.     NEW BUSINESS

a)   041108-1:UD Expenditures

MOTION: Handevidt/Schroeder to adopt to approve the expenditures as submitted with the exception of (none).  Motion carried.

 

b)   041108-2:UD Update Service Availability Charge (SAC) Fees

MOTION: Sauer/Tews to adopt to approve as submitted.  Motion carried.

MOTION: Handevidt/Jurgensen to POSTPONE FOR CONSIDERATION until the Dec.6 meeting.  Motion carried.

 

c)    041108-3:UD Reduction in Water and Sewer Assessment for Parcel Number 008026504 MOTION: Handevidt/Sauer to adopt to approve as submitted. Motion carried.  On roll call, motion failed on a 3-2 vote with Supvs. Jurgensen, Handevidt & Pres. Tews voting NAY & Supvs. Schroeder and Sauer voting AYE.

 

d)   041108-4:UD Authorization to Sign Collection Agency Service Agreement

MOTION: Handevidt/Schroeder to POSTPONE FOR CONSIDERATION until the Dec. 6 meeting.  Motion carried.

8.    APPROVAL OF MINUTES
a)    Regular Utility Commission Meeting – October 25, 2004

MOTION: Handevidt/Jurgensen to approve the minutes as submitted.  Motion carried.

a)    Water Pumpage Report – October 2004

b)    Water Main Breaks Report – October 2004

MOTION: Handevidt/Sauer to accept the correspondence for filing as submitted.  Motion carried.

 

10.   REPORTS
       a)         Water Superintendent Roth

¨       Casaloma/Bodoh/Prospect Avenue Project – Final Figures: Update on change order.

b)         Finance Director Piergrossi

¨       Sewer Backups Update:  Stated the Insurance Co. has been trying to get in touch with several claimants stating the Ins. Company is in need of proof from homeowners.  They continue to work on the sewer backup issue.

       At 5:55 p.m., MOTION: Handevidt/Sauer to adjourn the Utility District Commission Meeting.  Motion carried.
