Agendas with resolutions were posted at the Municipal Complex, Community Center, Fire Station 40, Utility District, Appleton, Neenah & Menasha Public Libraries, town website at town-menasha.com & sent to the Post-Crescent.

1. CALL TO ORDER

Town Chairman Arden Tews called the Special Meeting of the Town Board of Supervisors to order at 6:47 p.m.

2. NEW BUSINESS

a. 041109-1:SP Adopt Year 2005 Town Budget

MOTION: Handevidt/Sauer to adopt to approve as submitted.

After discussion, MOTION: Jurgensen/Tews to eliminate the video camera and equipment and reduce the levy by $24,585. On roll call, motion failed 3-2 with Supvs. Schroeder, Sauer & Handevidt voting NAY & Supv. Jurgensen & Chairman Tews voting AYE.

MOTION: Jurgensen/Tews to consider an $822.00 additional raise for Assessor Richard Eiberger. On roll call, motion failed on a 3-2 vote with Supvs. Schroeder, Sauer & Handevidt voting NAY & Supv. Jurgensen & Chairman Tews voting AYE.

MOTION: Supv. Schroeder to reduce the levy by $86,000. Motion failed for a lack of a second.

Regarding the resolution as submitted: Motion carried 4-1 with Supvs. Sauer, Jurgensen, Handevidt & Chairman Tews voting AYE & Supv. Schroeder voting NAY.

b. 041109-2:SP Set Year 2004 Tax Levy to be Paid in 2005

MOTION: Handevidt/Jurgensen to adopt to approve as submitted. On roll call, motion carried 4-1 with Supvs. Sauer, Jurgensen, Handevidt & Chairman Tews voting AYE & Supv. Schroeder voting NAY.

3. ADJOURNMENT

At 7:29 p.m., MOTION: Handevidt/Jurgensen to adjourn the Special Town Board Meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
