PUBLIC HEARING FOR SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS

MINUTES

Municipal Complex - Assembly Room - Monday, October 7, 2002

I. CALL TO ORDER

Town Chair Arden Tews called the Public Hearing to order at 5:30 p.m.

II. OPEN DISCUSSION

McMahon Engineer Carl Sutter presented a description of the project, approx. timetable and costs. He also presented a drawing of the scope of the project for viewing information to the general public and businesses on American Dr.

Randy Hager/Johnson Cntrls. questioned the availability of travel on the roadway during construction. Eng. Sutter stated the roadway would remain open at all times during construction.

Bruce Sherman/Azco Inc. questioned the portion charged to the businesses regarding the recreation trail and stated the businesses would prefer keeping the land rather than having the town construct a trail. Engineer Sutter stated 20% or $500,000 of the project is assessable to the businesses. He will calculate the costs of the trail and get this information to him.

Dir. of Community Dev. George Dearborn stated that approx. $939,000 will be received from the WI-DOT as a grant for this project.

III. ADJOURNMENT

Being no further comments, questions or objections, Chairman Tews closed the Public Hearing at 5:40 p.m.
