MINUTES
The agenda was posted at the Municipal
Complex, Fire Station 40, Town of Menasha Utility District, Appleton Public
Library, Menasha Public Library, and Neenah Public Library and is available on
the Town of Menasha Website www.town-menasha.com.
I. CALL TO ORDER, PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE AND ROLL CALL
President Arden Tews called the Regular
Meeting of Utility District Commissioners to order at 4:45 p.m. and led the
Pledge of Allegiance.
Deputy Clerk Tweedie noted the roll as
follows:

ALSO PRESENT:

MOTION: Commissioner Sprague, second Commissioner Krueger to adopt the resolution and approve the expenditures as submitted with the exception of (none). Motion carried unanimously.
MOTION: Commissioner Krueger, second Commissioner Sprague to adopt the resolution and approve the codification of the Utility ordinances and policies, and approve hiring Atty. Roger Clark at a fee not to exceed $7,500 to complete this task as submitted. Motion carried unanimously.
MOTION: Commissioner Sprague, second Commissioner Handevidt to adopt the resolution and approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried unanimously.

Wastewater Superintendent
Steve Laabs
stated there is a hold on the harborage lift station until the sewer and water user
rates are established. He passed out a flyer on the U.S. Filter Study for board
review.
There
are hydrogen sulfide levels and odor control problems, which will be looked
into.

Handevidt stated there was a question on the audit report on the 6” meters.
Water
Superintendent, Jeff Roth, stated we are in compliance.
Chairman
Tews mentioned four (4) different businesses complying in their wastewater
management.

Other
Dir. of Finance – Myra Piergrossi
Myra stated
she did not know when tax bills would be going out, possibly around December
15th.
Due to some
minor Utility Code changes, Winnebago County put the Town at the bottom of the
list, therefore causing the delay.
Administrator
DeGrave stated if tax bills go out late, note that we, (Town of Menasha), have
done our part.
At 5:02 p.m., MOTION: Commissioner
Sprague, second Commissioner Jurgensen to adjourn the Regular Meeting of the
Utility District of Commissioners.
Motion carried unanimously.
