Text Box: Municipal Judge Len Kachinsky

Mr. Kachinsky was elected Municipal Judge in 1997.  

PROFESSION/VOCATION
He is an attorney at Sisson and Kachinsky Law Offices in Appleton. He is certified as a Criminal Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. After winning an ROTC Scholarship at Appleton East, Len earned degrees in speech and politics and government at Ripon College and a law degree at UW-Madison.

PERSONAL
Married to Barb since 1976 with two grown children and two cats.

Mr. Kachinsky is a lay minister at St. Margaret Mary Church. He is a member of the Reserve Officers Association, Fox Valley Greenways, NE Wisconsin Veterans Museum and Pacesetters Running Club. Prior to election as municipal judge, he was active in partisan politics. After graduating from law school, he served as an active duty JAG officer. Following release from active duty in 1982, he remained in the Army Reserve. Len was activated once for Operation Desert Storm and twice for Operation Enduring Freedom. Mr. Kachinsky retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2007 after 32 years of commissioned service.

 Mr. Kachinsky is a multiple myeloma cancer survivor and has run 57 marathons as of August 2009. He and wife Barb work out at the YMCA and often run or walk the Town’s recreational trails.
